Martin Baturina has attracted interest from Tottenham, Aston Villa and Manchester United, having been a breakout star in the 2025/26 season.
Como signed the winger from Dinamo Zagreb but the player made a slow start. At the turn of the year, he caught fire and he scored five Serie A goals in 2026. He also notched up three assists, making him an important player for Croatia at the World Cup.
He did well at the tournament too, scoring against England and starting in all four games.
Sport Witness have previously covered Aston Villa’s offer for the attacker. They put forward around €55m but this was quickly rejected by Como.
Talk continues to grow, with Manchester United and Tottenham also in the race.
Como not giving discounts
Calciomercato report that Baturina has become one of the most valued members of Cesc Fabregas’ side. He was signed for €20m but his value has grown by multiples and he is just as important as Nico Paz in the team.
This has made Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United have turned their attention to him.
For now, Como aren’t alarmed. They are taking note of the growing interest in the Croatia international but believe they don’t need to sell him.
Only an ‘unmissable offer’ will be considered, with Como having also demanded high figures for Nico Paz in the past. Baturina could be the next in line to attract global attention, with Como president Mirwan Suwarso having declared his intentions already.
The report carries comments from him, as Suwarso explained that the club aren’t under pressure to sell players.
“If there’s an offer, we’ll listen. If we like it, we’ll accept, but we’re not afraid to refuse. Last summer, we rejected a €60m offer for Assane Diao. I can’t say from whom. And in the winter, another €40, for Jayden Addai.”
Our take: Deal difficult this summer, but possible
Como’s qualification for the Champions League has increased the values of Nico Paz, Baturina, Assane Diao, Jacobo Ramon and Jayden Addai. From a financial standpoint, they are much more well backed than other Italian sides. This makes them a very difficult club to deal with.
Baturina’s contract runs out in 2030 and this gives Como more time to think about his sale. However, despite the difficulty it’s possible, with the club’s president making that clear.
