After claims last week of PSG submitting a €25m offer for Idrissa Gueye, Le Parisien now says the bid landed on Sunday afternoon.

The amount varies, according to the French newspaper, depending on the source, but it’s put at €25-30m.

Le Parisien state Everton have knocked this offer back, already.

It’s explained that Everton had started the whole process expecting a fee of €40m, and despite the growing French optimism of last week, there’s ‘no indication’ the Premier League have changed from that stance.

PSG want more than Leandro Paredes in this month as a midfield addition, and Le Parisien say the continued efforts for Gueye make this very clear.

At the start of the window the budget had been €30m, but that’s somehow been torn up due to footballing needs.

There’s no mention in this report of Thomas Meunier potentially going the other way, as had been suggested at the weekend.
