Ever since he starred at the World Cup, Sofyan Amrabat has been a target for a lot of clubs around Europe, especially in the Premier League.

Fiorentina aren’t open to selling, at least publicly, and that has left a lot for the Italian press to talk about, especially when it comes to possible replacements, with Leeds United’s Tyler Adams now being mentioned.

Now, that doesn’t mean the Serie A side, were they to sell Amrabat, would turn their attention to the Elland Road summer signing, but he is one being suggested.

This comes from Andrea Rocchigiani, who used to be a player for Fiorentina back in the day, who spoke to Firenze Viola about the situation surrounding the Moroccan.

He said: “I would take a midfielder. If they gave me €40m for Amrabat, I would sell him immediately, even in January. Because in June, I don’t know if that figure would arrive again. I’d put a lot of money on Adams (Leeds midfielder), he reminds me of Torreira.

“He’s not as strong as him, but he’s an excellent midfielder who’s still quite young. He presses a lot and he impressed me at the World Cup.”

It’s worth reminding Rocchigiani and everyone else that Leeds only signed Adams from RB Leipzig in the summer, following the sale of Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City.

The USA international went straight into Jesse Marsch’s plans, and has very rarely left them, meaning it would likely take a lot to convince Andrea Radrizzani to let the player go.

Adams signed for Leeds for €17m, meaning you would be, at the very least, need to double that to get anywhere close to convince the Premier League side of a sale.
