With Chelsea target Vitor Roque recently turning 18, Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte is featuring a series of reports about the wonderkid.
The Athletico Paranaense star is now allowed to move to a European club, and that’s why his future was very much commented on in these stories.
According to Globo Esporte, it’s Barcelona who are the ‘main candidates’ to sign the teenager. But Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid ‘also monitor his next steps’.
The report claims that despite the player’s €100m release clause, Athletico demand around €60m to let him go. And there’s expectation for that move to happen in the summer window.
Speaking to the player, Globo Esporte asked him if he’s prepared to play in Europe already. And he confirmed that.
“Yes, definitely. I work for that, I’m focused on getting there as prepared as possible,” Vitor Roque told Globo Esporte.
Vitor Roque may be just a teenager, but has been highly impressive at Athletico Paranaense, and already has eight goals and three assists in 38 appearances for the club.
Following the U-20 South American title with Brazil last month, he’s now called-up for the first team’s next friendlies. There he should meet Chelsea’s new signing Andrey Santos.
