Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has hinted he is working to make his loan deal at Real Madrid a permanent one next summer.

The goalkeeper has been speaking to AS, who cover the player today and his prospects of remaining with the Spanish giants beyond next summer.

The Chelsea goalkeeper is currently on loan with Carlo Ancelotti’s side after arriving in the summer as a late replacement for Thibaut Courtois, who is out injured with a cruciate ligament rupture.

Kepa hasn’t been quite shining in the Belgian’s absence but AS say he is ‘on the right track’, with initial concerns about him having diminished as the days have passed.

He was particularly impressive in the draw with Sevilla this weekend, earning plaudits for a performance that kept his side in the game at times.

The hope is that he can continue to perform at that level for the remainder of the season, at the end of which the question will be raised about a permanent deal.

He’s certainly keen on it happening and has hinted he is working with the hope of getting that permanent move away from Chelsea.

“I don’t want to think in October what can happen in July,” he said.

“I’m very happy. I will not lack work and enthusiasm and I will try to enjoy every minute to the fullest.”
