Currently without a club, Florentin Pogba, who reportedly recently trained with Charlton’s U23s, has some spare time on his hands.

In true ‘brother of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba’ fashion, that means he was invited to have a chat on El Chiringuito in Spain to talk about his sibling’s situation in the north of England.

Normally it’s Mathias who has something to say, and he was also present, but Florentin was the one asked about what he wants to see happen in the United star’s future.

He said: “At the moment, there’s no talk about it, but I’ve always said that I want my brother to sign for Real Madrid. I want it, but at the moment, we’re [them in the studio] just chatting about it. And this summer, it’ll be the same, because it’s always like this.

“In the transfer window, it’s always talk, like ‘WOW!’. Either you talk about it for a day, or for two months. How long have you been talking about it? Since 2016. We’re in 2020. And it’ll be talked about again.”

The presenter, Josep Pedrerol, then makes the point that signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United could cost up to €170m, which is a price that Real Madrid can’t really afford.

Florentin Pogba, on the other hand, didn’t agree.

He said: “It’s not a money problem, because Madrid can put the money. I don’t know how much [Paul] is worth. It’s all politics and football. It started when Ronaldo signed at Madrid for €94m, and after that… [mimics explosion]

“There are youngsters who move for €80-90m that haven’t won a trophy, and remember that when Ronaldo signed for Madrid, he had won trophies with Manchester United.”

Well, there you have it.

You already had Mathias Pogba’s stance on the matter, and now you have Florentin’s.

Now, all we need is Paul’s, and, let’s be honest, that’s the one that really matters.
