Esporte Espetacular, probably the most important sports weekly show in Brazil, had on Sunday a long story about Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira.
Besides telling the midfielder’s whole story, they had interviews with his family and also teammates such as Paul Pogba and Joel Pereira.
Most of Esporte Espetacular’s story was about the good form Andreas is having at Flamengo, and of course, they talked about the possibility of him signing for the Rio de Janeiro side on a permanent deal.
For that to happen, the club would need to break their transfer record and pay Manchester United €20m, and it turns out that the midfielder’s father gave his opinion on what may happen.
“I think that today is the best moment in his career, not only on the field, but in the locker room, in the club,” Marcos Pereira told Esporte Espetacular.
“In today’s conditions, I think it’s difficult for him to return to Europe, in case Flamengo wants to keep him.”
Andreas Pereira has three goals and one assist in 18 appearances for Flamengo, where he conquered a place in the team playing in central midfield.
His loan in Brazil goes until the next summer, and in case of a return to Manchester United, his contract with the Red Devils is running until 2023.
