In Unai Emery’s second season at Paris Saint-Germain, they added Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to the squad as the two players arrived at Parc des Princes from Barcelona and AS Monaco respectively.

The duo played a key role in helping their side win the title, with the World Cup winning forward scoring 21 goals and registering 16 assists in all competitions.

Emery was replaced by Thomas Tuchel in the summer and the former took charge at Arsenal before the start of the season.

Mbappe heaped praise on the current Gunnners manager for his role in helping him settle with his current employer in his debut season.

“I do not forget that he helped me adapt at a big club, which is not easy. I have a lot of respect for this man, even if he was not successful in Paris,” the 19-year-old told France Football.

“He won titles before and I wish him to win in the future. I sent him a congratulatory message when he signed for Arsenal…”

The 19-year-old was part of France’s squad that won the World Cup in the summer and has continued his fine form for PSG this term, scoring 12 goals and registering four assists in the league.

Emery, on the other hand, had a difficult start to his career at the Emirates, but the Spaniard has helped the Gunners bounce back as they are unbeaten in the Premier League since the end of August.
