Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has admitted he would love to play in the Premier League during his career, after reports that Newcastle United are chasing his signature.
Rabiot has regularly been linked with a move to the Premier League down the years, with that the case during his time at Paris Saint Germain and now Juventus.
Newcastle have been put in the mix for his signature in recent weeks, with a report on November 28th stating that they were ahead of others in the race for his signature.
That was followed up by a report today again stating Newcastle were interested as they look to bolster Eddie Howe’s side in the January transfer window.
Interest in the Frenchman comes due to his contract situation, with his current deal set to expire in June 2023.
That means he is free to negotiate with clubs around Europe from January 1st regarding a possible free transfer next summer.
It makes him one of the possible bargains of the upcoming windows as Juventus could look to sell on the cheap next month rather than lose him on a free.
The decision is very much in the 27-year-old’s hands, but he may have provided a boost to Newcastle with his latest comments.
“It’s a goal to play in the Premier League,” L’Equipe report him saying.
“England at 13 was a very good experience even though I barely did a year (at Manchester City).
“I really liked the atmosphere there, it’s something different from France or Italy. I would love to play there in my career, I’ve always said that.”
