New Burnley signing Zeki Amdouni has insisted he was not bothered by his viral announcement video involving the Teletubbies.

The forward has been speaking to SRF in Switzerland after joining up with this international team for this international break.

The striker joined Burnley in an €18.6m deal back in July as Vincent Kompany and co splashed the cash strengthening their squad following promotion to the Premier League last season.

Like all of Burnley’s signings this summer his arrival was announced on social media with an elaborate and witty announcement video involving a TV show or film.

In his case, it was the Teletubbies who were selected, with the video showing the infamous opening scene from the children’s TV show before introducing their latest signing.

The video was a hit on social media, to say the least, although some naturally raised questions about whether the player was particularly pleased to be a part of it.

He, though, insists he has no problem with it in the slightest and is more concerned with settling in and making his mark at Turf Moor.

“The adjustment worked well. Many people in England speak French, which helped,” he said.

“The biggest difference is the higher intensity, the toughness in the duels. The players are on a different level, that makes it more difficult.

“[The video] didn’t bother me as much as many people might think. In England it is also about the show when it comes to new transfers. I laughed and didn’t worry about it.”
