Last month, Tottenham Hotspur completed the signing of Destiny Udogie from Udinese and handed him a five-year deal, before sending him out on loan to the Italian club.
Spurs decided to let the 19-year-old return to Udinese on a temporary deal so that he can continue his development.
Their decision has paid off so far as he is not only featuring regularly but has also found the back of the net on two occasions.
The Tottenham owned player scored his second league goal of the campaign in his side’s 4-0 win over José Mourinho’s AS Roma on Sunday.
After the tie, the Italy U21 international said Udinese believed they could always overcome the Giallorossi before admitting it is not a regular campaign for him and his present status at the Serie A side will only push him to do better.
“No, there have been no changes. We knew we could put Roma in trouble by acting as we always did during the match,” the Spurs man was quoted as saying by Corriere dello Sport.
“As far as I’m concerned, I know it’s an unusual season, even if I’m owned by Tottenham, I’m stimulated, I must always do well, I have to improve”
Should Udogie continue to shine for Udinese this season, his chances of featuring for Tottenham next term will only improve.
