Mohamed Salah continues to shine for Liverpool as the forward is leading the Premier League ranks with 17 goals, and he has seven more to his name across the Champions League and FA Cup.

The same cannot be said about the Reds who have struggled in the league this season.

Jürgen Klopp’s side have dropped to sixth place in the table and are trailing league leaders Manchester City by 19 points. The German has already conceded defeat in the title race.

Marseille interim manager Nasser Larguet was a guest on Egypt’s OnTime Sports and he blamed the Merseyside club’s lack of signings for their recent poor form.

“I love Liverpool very much and I am sad for their recent poor results. I think the failure to recruit last summer affected the team,” Larguet was quoted as saying by Le10 Sport.

The Ligue 1 side’s interim manager also advised the Egypt international to leave Anfield for a specific club in the summer.

“Salah is currently one of the best players in the world. I hope he will join Bayern Munich because they have several stars who can help him,” he said.

Salah’s contract lasts until 2023 and last month, the former Chelsea man expressed his desire to continue at the club, but admitted his future is in the hands of Liverpool.
