Tottenham youngster Luka Vuskovic has again hinted he wants to return in the summer and not stay with KVC Westerlo.
Voetbalkrant cover comments from the 17-year-old today in which he admits he thinks he’s shown he’s ready to head back to London in the summer.
He’s currently spending the season with the Belgian side on loan from Hajduk Split, although a deal has already been agreed for him to join Tottenham in the summer.
They moved ahead of potential competition to wrap up the defender as they continue to target youngsters to develop for the future.
He’s been impressing in Belgium since, making 24 appearances in all competitions and scoring six goals, as well as registering one assist, despite playing as a centre-back.
That’s seen him regularly questioned about his future and the move to Tottenham, with the youngster already stating that he thinks he’s good enough to be a part of Ange Postecoglou’s squad next season.
That’s a decision for Tottenham to make when he officially arrives and Vuskovic admits there hasn’t been any talks yet on that front.
“I had barely played ten games for Hajduk. In the meantime, I have already gained some experience,” he is quoted as saying to Gazet van Antwerpen.
“Without being arrogant, I can say that I have shown sufficient qualities. Maybe I still have to work on my speed a bit more, although Mats Hummels shows that you can make a difference even without that speed.
“If I have made my debut at Tottenham, it will be fine. Is there a chance that I will stay at Westerlo? That has not been discussed yet.”
