New Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana has said he would be happy to see former teammate Hakim Ziyech move from Chelsea to rivals AC Milan this summer.
Ziyech has been heavily linked with a deal away from Chelsea this summer after struggling to establish himself under Thomas Tuchel since his arrival.
His most likely destination appears to be AC Milan, who are keen to add him to their squad as they look to strengthen following their title win last season.
The Italian side are currently negotiating with Chelsea over a possible deal, with the finances difficult for them, even with a loan deal, difficult because of the forward’s high wages.
Should he end up in Milan, he will find a familiar face in Onana waiting for him, having played alongside the goalkeeper at Ajax.
“I am friends with Ziyech and De Ligt; he is a great centre-back,” Calciomercato report him saying.
“But in the end, everyone chooses their own path, and I can’t decide for them, and even if I knew their future, I wouldn’t say it at this moment.
“We’re all friends, so regardless of what they decide, I wish them the best of luck because Ziyech is a great player, and we’ve talked about his hypothetical arrival.
“If he does arrive, I’d be happy for him, but at the same time we’d be opponents, and we couldn’t be the friends we were before.”
