Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte today features a short interview with Tottenham Hotspur striker Carlos Vinícius.

The 25-year-old, who’s on loan from Benfica until the end of the season, has three goals and three assists for Spurs so far, all of them in the Europa League.

That makes him the club’s top scorer in the tournament, along with compatriot Lucas Moura. Carlos Vinícius is happy with his first months as part of José Mourinho’s side, and celebrates his good adaptation.

“I’m very happy with this start at Tottenham, to be helping the team, and I’m very motivated to do even more,” Carlos Vinícius told Globo Esporte.

“The whole team and staff welcomed me very well and I feel at home here. We’re doing well in the Premier League, qualifying in the Europa League, we have the cups, so focus on work, game by game so that in the end we can celebrate.”

“It’s important to score goals at a new club, a new challenge. This brings even more confidence. But all of this is the result of collective work. We have a very qualified team with great players, a fantastic coach. So we have everything to make a great season.”

Tottenham have a huge Premier League clash against Liverpool tonight, and that could be Carlos Vinícius’ first big chance to shine in the Premier League.

Despite the eight games he’s played for the club so far, most of them were in the Europa League. He only entered the pitch in the Premier League once, as he had 12 minutes in a match against West Brom in early November.
