The Spanish media today features a few quotes from Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback Jonny Otto.
The 26-year-old spoke to Radio Galega, and since he used to play for Celta Vigo, one of the biggest clubs from that region, there was a lot to talk about.
The player couldn’t hide his wish of playing for the Spanish side once again in the future, claiming that he should be well received in case he decides to return.
“Of course I miss Celta, it’s my home,” Jonny Otto told Radio Galega’s Ao Contraataque show (via El Desmarque). “I have the doors open.”
But he also made sure to say that his comeback may not happen soon: “I surely want to return. I don’t know when but I’d like to return.”
Jonny Otto also spoke about the injuries which have been giving him a hard time at Wolves.
“At first I travelled to Vigo, I had surgery with Doctor Cota and after three weeks I came here,” said the player, who’s currently recovering from a knee injury.
“Since I got here I have had three injuries. We have to move on, there’s no other option.”
Wolves signed Jonny Otto in a move from Atletico Madrid in 2018, first on a loan, and then on a permanent transfer. He has 87 appearances for the Premier League side so far, and a contract lasting until 2023.
