With Tottenham Hotspur players Richarlison and Emerson Royal giving an interview to the Brazilian media together, it’s obvious that they had good fun.
The duo recently spoke to Desimpedidos, and in quotes now relayed by Premier League Brasil, they revealed there’s a Spurs teammate who loves their home country.
That’s Yves Bissouma, who was born in the Ivory Coast and has Malian nationality, and according to his Tottenham teammates, he has deep feelings for Brazil.
“He likes everything about Brazil. He likes everything, good and bad. He likes going out, he likes everything. He’s like us.”
Richarlison was then asked whether he’d take Bissouma to visit Brazil with him, and he claims he’d actually never do that.
“I won’t take him! I don’t want that responsibility.”
Emerson Royal also said he fears what Bissouma could do in South America.
“He’s going to be arrested there. He’s going to do a lot of stuff there. Wow…”
This isn’t the first time that Brazilian players at Tottenham talk about their teammates’ affection for their country. They previously said Son Heung-min likes the culture as well.
Both Richarlison and Royal opened themselves in that interview, with the striker even revealing that he’s a Vasco da Gama fan, saying he often goes to bed late to watch their games meaning he turns up tired and sometimes angry to Tottenham’s training ground because of the results.
