Ever since an article appeared in Belgium about David Henen allegedly wanting to move away from Everton’s U23s to kickstart his career, the young winger’s future has been a topic of discussion.

The same website also continued with their reports on Wednesday morning, with a transfer to Belgium also a possibility.

The player was previously linked with a move to either Toulouse or Nice, yet it seems the player has absolutely no intention of leaving Goodison Park anytime soon, according to his reaction on Twitter.

On Tuesday night, Foot01.com in France published an article on their website that, according to their own information, one of the first recruits Lille in Ligue 1 could make in January was the 20-year-old.

With a new investor coming in, and the club currently 18th in Ligue 1, money could be spent on recruits in the coming months to bolster the squad, but Henen won’t be one of them.

At least, he’s heard nothing about it, taking to Twitter to also explain he joined Everton for the love of the club and the people in it, and certainly not for the money.

Foot01.com also report that Henen rejected a five-year deal from the Premier League club recently, which reinforced his apparent desire to move away, but that also doesn’t appear to have happened.

Then again, not that we believe them, but Foot01.com’s information could be coming from Lille’s side, and a move for the player might be in the works.

That, however, doesn’t explain why they claimed he rejected a five-year deal when the player clearly has no idea what they’re talking about.
