While many clubs have been linked with a move for Perr Schuurs, few have gone as far as Crystal Palace in an attempt to sign him.
The Eagles have reportedly already made a €25m for him, which was refused, before being in continuous contacts with the player’s agents, with Torino clear they want €40m for their star if possible.
All this has caused a lot of uncertainty around the Crystal Palace target, who himself has no idea what the future holds for him, as per Calciomercato.
Bought last summer, the Dutchman has impressed greatly in his first season in Serie A, which is why Roy Hodgson’s team have targeted him to bolster their defence.
However, no one has been able to convince Torino yet, with reports stating €40m will be needed, or at a push €35m.
That’s a fee Crystal Palace have yet to reach, and whether they do remains to be seen, and Schuurs himself isn’t entirely sure where he’ll be next season.
The Italian website explain that a fan, at the end of the first training session, asked the defender if he was staying at the club, to which he candidly replied: “I don’t know.”
It’s then added that president Urbano Cairo is ‘ready to evaluate offers’ for his star as long as they meet the demands, all the while also being aware that the player could continue to grow under Ivan Juric and bring even more money down the line.
