Hull City midfielder Steven Alzate has admirers in the Championship and Spain ahead of the summer transfer window.
That’s according to the Colombian edition of AS, who report that Alzate will be leaving Hull at the end of the season and has options on the table.
They explain that Alzate has long expressed his desire to play in a top European league, particularly Spain, and now could be the opportunity for him to fulfil that.
There are two clubs in La Liga currently interested in him, Valencia and Getafe, while the midfielder also has ‘several offers’ from Championship clubs. He, though, would rule them out to open the path for the Spanish clubs to be able to make a proposal to him.
Valencia and Getafe already know him well and have ‘followed him up’, although both only consider the Hull man as an alternative for now. Valencia need players to leave first, while Getafe are fully focused on avoiding relegation before thinking about signings.
Alzate has convinced them both with his performances for Hull, though, who themselves are battling to avoid the drop and hoping he can be a key player in their final game showdown with Portsmouth.
