Hull City are interested in Trabzonspor’s Abdülkadir Ömür as they again look to the Turkish market to bolster their squad.
That’s according to Sports Digitale, who say Hull are looking at the central midfielder and can get their man if they offer the right price.
Hull have been busy bolstering Liam Rosenior’s options this month, with Billy Sharp arriving on a free transfer from LA Galaxy and Fabio Carvalho joining on loan from Liverpool.
They may not be done there, though, with the Tigers seemingly scouring the market to give Rosenior options as they continue to push for a play-off place in the Championship.
They’re currently sixth in the table after Friday night’s win over Sunderland and the right additions this month could help secure their place in the top six and a shot at promotion to the Premier League.
That’s led them to look at Ömür according to Sports Digitale, who has six assists in 16 league games for Trabzonspor this season.
The Turkish outlet offer very little on Hull’s interest at this point, simply stating it exists and Ömür will make the move ‘if the conditions are met’.
Those conditions for a transfer aren’t outlined, though, so it’s unclear whether Trabzonspor would do a loan, or it would have to be a permanent deal for the midfielder, who is valued at €8m currently.
For now, it appears Hull are just showing an interest, but he’s a name to keep an eye on in the last weeks of the transfer window, nonetheless.
