According to a claim in the Turkish media, Championship club Hull City are showing interest in Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayındır.

The Turkey international has struggled to get game for the Premier League side since arriving during the 2023 summer transfer window and may need to move on in the new year.

Fotospor report Bayındır is looking to leave Old Trafford, and that Hull City are monitoring the player’s situation. The Tigers have disappointed in the league this season and will be looking to recruit in the January transfer.

Hull City president Acun Ilicali is reportedly keen to bring in his compatriot and is hoping their relationship at Fenerbahce could be an advantage. Bayındır was the captain of Fenerbahce before his move to Manchester United, whilst Ilicali is the vice-president of the Istanbul side.

Since arriving in England, the 26 year old has played just two games for the Red Devils and has yet to make an appearance in the Premier League.

The player may be looking to find a new club in January or the summer, but he may be hoping for a team in European competition rather than a Championship club.

Then again, Acun Ilicali has shown he can be very persuasive.
