Tottenham Hotspur forward Manor Solomon’s agent Shlomi Ben Ezra has labelled West Ham United a huge club amid uncertainty around his future at the Premier League side. 

Tottenham let Solomon spend the last two seasons out on loan at Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina.

He’s back at the north London club, and West Ham are keen on securing his services this summer.

The Hammers’ interest was first reported in Israel on July 29th, days after his agent said his client’s desire to leave Spurs permanently.

Ezra is the owner of the agency that manage the Israel international and Gilad Katsav is the director.

On Tuesday, the latter responded to the Hammers links, saying: “There’s a lot of talk, but if anything happens, you’ll know and we’ll keep you updated.”

The Israel international’s representatives have been repeatedly talking to the media in Israel over the past few weeks.

Shlomi Ben Ezra now spoke to Sport5 to discuss Manor Solomon and the West Ham links.

“Manor isn’t expected to be a starter at Tottenham, at least not in the near future. If I were a Tottenham player, I’d also aim to join a club where I’d be in the starting lineup, that’s the goal. A player’s career is short, and after eight years in Europe, Manor wants to make an impact,” he said.

“I think, without any personal bias, he has to play. He has a place at Tottenham, but some people think otherwise. He was also quite successful last year at Fiorentina, aside from a month and a half of bad luck and injury. I’m sure he’ll continue; he just needs the spot he deserves.”

Agent responds to West Ham’s interest 

Sport5 claims the Championship side are the leading candidate to sign Manor Solomon.

Shlomi Ben Ezra hails west Ham United as a huge club and there are other unnamed clubs keen on signing the Tottenham Hotspur player.

“West Ham are a huge club; Yossi Benayoun and Eyal Berkovic were there, too. I think that at 27, he’s already at an age where he has experience, and there’s a consensus about Manor. Many teams like him because he’s a good player and a good person,” Ezra explained.

The representative is confident that his future, which is away from Spurs, will probably be in England.

“As you’re reading, seeing, and reporting, Manor is in high demand this summer. We’ll see what happens in the coming days,” he added.

“Manor wants to play and be a key player. I believe that will happen in the coming days. I believe he’ll be playing in England next year, it’s very likely.”

When asked about Tottenham’s demands, Ezra said: “We’ll leave that to the negotiations.”
