In a strange twist of events, there now appears to be someone, somewhere, pushing the idea that Manchester United really want Jude Bellingham.
That Erik ten Hag needs a new midfielder for next season is nothing new, and there’s no denying that the Borussia Dortmund star would be a great addition at Old Trafford, but with all the claims stating he is off to Real Madrid, it seemed like a done deal.
TuttoMercatoWeb, however, claim that while that could still remain the case, Manchester United have also entered the fray.
In what is a rather large claim, they explain that Dortmund want €150m for their player, which no interested club has reached to date, but the Red Devils have come close.
It’s said that Manchester United ‘have already made a €120m proposal’, but it seems to be all in vain.
This is due to the fact Bellingham ‘has decided to say yes’ to Real Madrid, and is now ‘waiting for the two clubs to come to an agreement’.
Therefore, while they sort that out, Manchester United’s bid remains the ‘biggest’ offer to date, even if it doesn’t appear like it will lead to anything.
