Huddersfield Town star Sorba Thomas is set to make a switch to FC Nantes this summer.
That’s according to L’Equipe, and their title says the forward will arrive at the Ligue 1 side on loan.
Within the report, it’s claimed Nantes have ‘reached an agreement’ with Huddersfield Town to sign the forward on a temporary deal, and the deal should go through soon.
The Wales international has two years left on his contract, and the report provides no further information, including whether Nantes have an option or obligation to make his stay permanent, as part of the loan move.
Thomas starred for Huddersfield Town last season, scoring four goals and registering nine assists from 41 Championship games. He contributed just over 27% of the league goals scored [48] by the Terriers, who have been relegated to the League One.
The attacker, however, will be playing in the top division in France next season. The loan transfer will see him move away from the UK for the first time in his professional career.
Thomas joined Huddersfield Town in 2021, and managed seven goals and 31 assists from 125 matches for them.
