According to TMW, Huddersfield Town are closing in on Fiorentina attacker Ante Rebic, but Brighton & Hove Albion could make a last minute attempt to land the Croatian international.

It’s reported the two Premier League sides are chasing Rebic, but as it stands Huddersfield Town are in pole position to sign the player.

TMW say the West Yorkshire side are set to close a deal for the winger, with reports they will pay a fee in the region of €4.5m. Rebic is now expected to travel to England to sign for Huddersfield Town, however, Brighton could come in with a late bid for the Fiorentina player.

Rebic signed for Fiorentina in 2013, but during his time with the Serie A side he’s spent most of it out on loan with other clubs. The 23 year old will be looking for a club which can give him more playing time after making just eight league appearances for the Viola, Huddersfield and Brighton would have to provide that.
