Hope for Tottenham price collapse – Club want to ‘circumvent’ Spurs demands and find way to deal

Gazzetta dello Sport claim AC Milan could look to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal this summer.

The Italian side are looking to bring in reinforcements following a disappointing season and their attention has switched to the Brazilian.

It’s reported the Serie A side are looking to strengthen in the wide areas and the Tottenham right back is an option. The Premier League side could also be looking to offload the player after he failed to hold down a regular place in the starting eleven this season.

However, the stumbling block would be Spurs’ valuation of Emerson, which is reported to be €30m. It’s unlikely Milan would come in with such an offer and they’re hoping the price collapses or that they can ‘circumvent’ it.

Fir Italian clubs, that usually means a loan offer.

Emerson has made 21 Premier League appearances this season but with just eleven starts. Subsequently the player may wish to move on this summer to get regular first team football, with AC Milan looking to be an option.

He’s contracted to Tottenham until June 2026.
