UD Ibiza are hopeful of sealing a deal for Mateusz Bogusz, reports Diario de Ibiza.
That hope has something to back it up, because the Leeds United player was spotted at the club’s friendly against Mallorca on Sunday, a match known as the ‘Balearic derby’.
The 20-year-old spent last season loan from Leeds at Ibiza and was a useful player for them in the first half of the season. Unfortunately his progress came to a halt at the end of January, after he suffered a cruciate knee injury.
UD Ibiza are said to be keen to get the signing done, and they want to ‘bet on’ the player. He’s said to be ‘within range’ for them, and the fact that he was at the match on Sunday would appear to be a sign a deal is close.
Bogusz is listed as having a Leeds United contract until 2023, so if the Whites see a long term future for him they may work on a renewal before agreeing a loan.
