Aston Villa’s latest offer for Tammy Abraham, including youngster Yasin Özcan, is seen as one the Turkish side should accept.
That’s at least according to journalist Fırat Günayer. He covers the offer today and believes it’s a deal that suits everyone.
Reports from Türkiye today explained that Aston Villa have now changed their offer for Abraham to include Özcan as part of the deal.
The Villans are now offering €21m plus Özcan to sign Abraham from Besiktas this month. They’ve been chasing their former striker for the past week after letting Donyell Malen leave and join AS Roma.
Various offers have been made, with reports two days ago stating that Besiktas had asked for a couple more million to be added to seal the deal. Aston Villa have instead added Özcan to the proposal.
The youngster is currently on loan at Anderlecht but has barely featured for them this season. Crucially he didn’t feature for Aston Villa this season, so is free to return home and play for Besiktas if the deal goes through. According to reports, he’s already accepted the proposal from the Turkish side.
He only joined Aston Villa in the summer but does not appear to be part of their long-term plans. Now he’s being used as leverage in their attempts to bring Abraham back to Villa Park.
Aston Villa offer works for everyone
The decision is for Besiktas to make, but Günayer believes they should jump at the opportunity presented to them.
“I think the €21m offer spoken for Abraham + the Yasin Özcan proposal is a good offer,” he said.
“You’re making a profit on Abraham in just six months, you can plan for a stronger striker for next season, and you’re strengthening your domestic rotation with Yasin Özcan. I hope it happens.”
