Italian website Calciomercato this week managed to get an interview with Bruno Carvalho Santos, who’s the CEO of the TOF agency.
With a list of Portuguese wonderkids among his clients, the representative had a lot to talk about, especially because they’ve all been involved in transfer rumours lately.
One of these players is Florentino Luís, a Benfica midfielder who was said to be a target for Manchester City during the summer.
Bruno Carvalho Santos is pretty convinced the 20-year-old is becoming a great player, and has some big predictions for him.
“Florentino is a very strong player, he has great quality. He’s an almost perfect strategist, today he is among the players with the highest percentage of balls recovered in the Portuguese league. He’s very smart, I think he will become the best number six in the world.”
This isn’t the first time his agent says something about this. Back in the summer window, Calciomercato made a direct question about the Manchester City links, and the agent had already made these predictions.
“Florentino will be the best 6 in the world. I know there are a lot of teams involved, but we have, together with Benfica, the plan to stay in Portugal, play even more in the first team and get to the national team and then maybe even think about a future transfer, but not now.”
In the last story we covered about Manchester City and Florentino, it was said that Pep Guardiola has ordered scouts to keep an eye on him, as newspaper Record said the player was mentioned in a meeting between the two clubs in the summer.
