Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi may just be getting started with his Premier League career, but his work is already being taken as an inspiration for others.
That’s the case of Sandro Ranieri, who played for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and West Bromwich Albion a few years ago.
The Brazilian is now becoming a coach, and has the Seagulls’ boss as a reference for his future career.
That was revealed in an interview he gave to TutttoMercatoWeb today. The midfielder had mostly been speaking of Champions League games, but when saying he’s studying to be a coach, he was asked about a role model, and mentioned the Brighton manager, claiming he’s already taken some lessons from him.
Sandro claims he’s about to take classes at other clubs, but should be back at Brighton to see more of De Zerbi.
“I will go to see Genoa and Benevento training and in a fortnight I will go to see De Zerbi training again: he’s extraordinary”.
The former Spurs midfielder, however, is not thinking of working in England for now, as he hopes to start his career in Italy.
“I would like to train in Italy. I learned so much. The Italian tactic is really nice. And if you trained in Italy it would be the best, it’s a place where you can train”.
Ze Derbi joined Brighton in September, replacing Graham Potter at the club. Since his arrival, he has nine wins, four draws and six defeats in 19 games.
