Noah Sadiki will not be allowed to remain at Sunderland long-term if he continues his current performances.

That’s according to analyst Filip Joos, via Sporza. He’s been left highly impressed by Sadiki after watching him in the Tyne-Wear derby.

Sunderland took on Newcastle on Sunday, running out 1-0 winners thanks to a Nick Woltemade own goal. That was the only highlight in an otherwise drab game in which the two teams managed a combined XG of 0.54.

Sadiki was one of those who managed to impress, though. He’s been earning admirers since joining Sunderland in a €17m plus €3m deal from Union Saint-Gilloise in July.

He’s played a key role for Sunderland since, with 16 appearances in all competitions to date. He has also started every league game so far as they’ve taken the Premier League by storm, sitting eighth and two points outside the top four ahead of this weekend.

His performances have not gone unnoticed either. Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly already eyeing moves.

Joos isn’t surprised by that, and admits he can’t see Sadiki staying at Sunderland long-term if he carries on.

“He’s the same player everywhere,” he said.

“I think that’s a tremendous quality. That’s the guy from Union, and he’s playing at a higher level. And in a tougher league, he plays exactly the same.

“He doesn’t lose 5% of his former self out of fear, out of “I have to pay attention here,” or out of respect. Nothing. He’s not staying at Sunderland, is he? He’s the perfect solution for a lot of teams.”
