Even though Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is arguably one of the best managers of all time, he sometimes talks down his chances.
The coach sometimes uses press conferences to highlight the quality of opponents, trying to pass the tag of favourites to the other side.
As that’s now happening prior to Manchester City’s clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League, El Chiringuito had a big discussion about it.
On Twitter, they feature a video gathering many comments about the manager’s recent stance, as they claim he’s actually afraid of the Spanish giants.
“He’s not sincere. This year we come to beat them again. It’s to say that, because with what he says it’s a win-win,” says former Real Madrid player Guti.
“Don’t tell me more mischief with Manchester City,” commented pundit Inaki Cano.
El Chiringuito, more than the rest of the Spanish media, has been creating a bit of a war environment ahead of Manchester City’s clash against Real Madrid.
They highlight that even though Pep Guardiola’s side are the current Champions League winners, the Santiago Bernabeu club still have enough respect to put out some fear ahead of the knock-out clashes.
The quarter-final first leg is taking place in Spain tonight, with the second game being played next Wednesday.
