Newcastle United summer signing William Osula has shared his delight at how he’s been welcomed at the club, and his ‘big brother’ Alexander Isak.

BOLD have an interview with the player today after he moved to Newcastle in the summer, a transfer he appears to be very happy with.

The 21-year-old joined Newcastle in an €11.6m deal from Sheffield United in the summer after six years with the Blades.

He joined them from FC Copenhagen Youth in July 2018 and moved his way up from there, featuring for the U18s and U21s before making it to the first team.

He made 31 appearances for the first team and enjoyed 21 appearances on loan at Derby County too, scoring three goals and five goals respectively as well as one assist.

That seemingly enough to convince Newcastle to bring him in this summer, with the youngster only one of three players the Magpies paid money for in a relatively quiet window.

The 21-year-old is now focused on impressing Eddie Howe to give him his chance but is more than happy with his start to life at St James Park, something which has been made easier by the presence of fellow Swede Alexander Isak.

“We ‘connected’ straight away. He’s like my big brother,” he said.

“We both play in attack. We are both from Scandinavia, so it just makes sense. We play a lot of things like table tennis together.

“We’re just having fun. It’s very cool. rom the first day it has been easy to talk to him and some of the others as well. Many of the other players have been easy to talk to.

“They have all welcomed me very well. It is a real family team where everyone is good friends, and they welcome each other.”
