Pep Guardiola’s contract at Manchester City will expire in 2023.

Last month, the Citizens manager admitted he wants to take a break from coaching when his contract runs down at the Etihad. He also admitted wanting to manage a national team after his time with the Premier League winners.

His former teammate at Barcelona, Ronald Koeman, is currently in charge at the Camp Nou and Videoland in the Netherlands have released the second season of a documentary on the former Everton manager, titled: ‘Força Koeman’.

Guardiola appeared in the first episode of the new season, where the City boss was seen having a light-hearted chat with Koeman, saying he wants to manage the Netherlands national team.

“Is the Dutch national team not for you? You’re actually already a kind of Dutchman in the field of football,” Koeman said, as quoted by Veronica Inside.

Responding to his former Barcelona teammate, Guardiola explained: “The positional play and the wingers in the Netherlands are not so good anymore, are they? But if the Netherlands ever needs a trainer… here I am. But then you will be my assistant!”

Koeman obliges to the conditions jokingly set by the Manchester City coach. He says: “I don’t want to be an assistant to anyone but you. If you want to fire me, you fire me.”

In his reply to Koeman’s response, Guardiola adds: “No, we’ll do it together! You next to me. And then you organize the golf tournaments and the dinners.”

Videoland’s official YouTube page released the trailer for the second season, which has a short segment involving Guardiola and Koeman.
