Earlier this month, Germany’s Kicker claimed Tottenham interest in Leonardo Bittencourt.

The FC Koln player was seen as a potential ‘bargain’ because his club were in a dangerous spot regarding relegation from the Bundesliga. The danger turned into the worst scenario and Koln have now had their relegation confirmed.

Some senior players have already committed themselves to a season in Germany’s second division, wanting to stay and help the club regain their top flight status, but Bittencourt isn’t one of those.

Kicker once again reference Tottenham interest on Monday as they quote Koln’s general manager Armin Veh as saying: “He will probably leave us because he has offers, and we have to live with that.”

Both times they’ve pushed the transfer, Kicker have mentioned two clubs: Tottenham Hotspur and AS Monaco.

Bittencourt is a 24 year old old right footer who can play on either wing, usually the left, or through the middle. He’s scored six goals and made five assists this season and has a contract running until June 2021.
