Manchester United have made advances to bring Colombian youngster Cristián Orozco to Old Trafford, according to multiple claims.
In the summer window, the 17-year-old changed clubs within his country as he left Rojo FC to join Fortaleza CEIF. His profile and potential have convinced the Red Devils to move forward with this operation.
That’s according to Colombian journalist Pipe Sierra, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report an agreement in principle has been reached for Orozco to become the Manchester United player.
Sierra adds the ‘deal is finalised’ and the Colombia U17 international will travel next year to join the English club, once he turns 18 years of age in July 2026.
This claim is backed up by Colombia’s El Vbar Caracol, and they also took to X to report ‘a Colombian will play for Manchester United’.
It’s further claimed the midfielder has an agreement in principle to sign for Manchester United as soon he turns 18 years of age next July. He won’t be able to arrive in the UK until then due to rules enforced following Brexit.
Although an agreement has been reached to join Manchester United, Orozco will continue at Fortaleza CEIF until next summer.
