Go Ahead Eagles striker Victor Edvardsen has revealed the conversation he had with Manchester United’s Tyrell Malacia in a recent half-time spat with the PSV Eindhoven loanee.
De Stentor have an interview with the striker today in which he reveals the conversation he had with the Manchester United defender.
Edvardsen has been in good form against PSV of late, bagging the second goal in a 0-2 win in the semi-final of the cup before then bagging the second goal in a 2-2 draw three days later.
Those have proven to be real moment for the striker, who has found himself being questioned in recent weeks as he’s squandered other chances.
The most recent clash in particular saw him shining in other areas too, with the newspaper saying he was ‘working very hard’ and ‘being irritating’ for his opponents.
That led to a half-time clash with Manchester United’s Malacia, who was ‘so fed up’ with the attacker’s antics on the pitch on Saturday evening that he started a conversation with him at half time.
“He said I was talking nonsense and irritating,” revealed Edvardsen.
“But yes, I said, that’s necessary, because we are the smaller club. The players said all sorts of things to me, but that doesn’t bother me. I fight for every ball.”
