Clement Lenglet has not changed his mind about leaving Aston Villa this month, with AC Milan hovering and looking to get him out of Villa Park.
That’s according to L’Equipe, who cover the player today and Milan’s continued efforts to get him to the San Siro.
The newspaper explains that the French defender is ‘being courted’ by the Italian side as he is unhappy with his lot at Villa Park.
He joined Aston Villa on loan from Barcelona in the summer but has barely featured this season and, despite coming into Unai Emery’s side in the last few games, it’s a ‘situation which cannot satisfy’ him.
AC Milan are aware of this and would like to loan him until the end of the season, hoping to find a way for Aston Villa and Barcelona to break the agreement and then send him to Italy.
They then add that the recent spate of appearances has not improved things for Lenglet, who ‘has not changed his mind’ about leaving Aston Villa this month.
A deal is difficult for Milan at this point as there would be a price involved in getting him and his salary is considered high.
But the idea is there nonetheless and Lenglet’s desire to move on makes it a possibility something could be done this month.
