Following his move from Aston Villa to Udinese this summer, Keinan Davis has now spoken to the Italian media about the switch.
Interviewed by TV12, the striker talked about how glad he is with the move, and said his exit from Villa Park actually happened very fast. The quotes are relayed by Tutto Udinese.
“This is why I’m here. I want to challenge myself and show what I can do. It was a move that happened very quickly, as we were at the end of the market,” said Davis.
“I went through the medical checks quickly, but we managed to make it in time. I’m happy to have come to this club.”
It’s quite interesting to see Davis mentioning how quick his medical was because that may have backfired against Udinese.
On Monday, it was announced that the player has a calf injury, and there’s some concern about how serious that could be.
It was claimed that Davis didn’t arrive from Aston Villa in such good shape, and as Udinese were ready to use him right after the international break, they had their plans ruined.
The forward is expected to be sidelined at least until November. He was bought by the Serie A side on a €2.3m deal.
Davis was unwanted at Aston Villa for a while now, as he spent the past couple of seasons on loans at Nottingham Forest and Watford.
