Manchester City have been linked to several strikers since Sergio Agüero confirmed he’d be leaving the Etihad, but so far, they haven’t brought in a replacement for the Argentine.

Having struggled to sign Tottenham’s Harry Kane, the Citizens have turned their attention towards Dušan Vlahović.

Two days ago, Fiorentina chairman Rocco Commisso revealed he wants €100m to allow the star to leave and a day later, he stressed the ‘right offer has not yet arrived’.

Journalist Enzo Bucchioni, writing in his column for TuttoMercatoWeb, says ‘Pep Guardiola wants Vlahović’.

Although Commisso is stressing the striker is not for sale, the 21-year-old hasn’t signed an extension and his representative has proposed his client to other clubs. The agent is ‘now precisely speaking with City’.

Bucchioni says Vlahović’s ‘firm will is to leave’ and adds the Serie A side’s owner ‘could collapse’, if there’s an offer of €100m in front of him.

The Premier League winners, however, ‘will hardly move’ from the €80m mark, and if one were to draw an inference here, there’s a difference of €20m separating the two clubs.

With a contract expiring in 2023, Fiorentina risk allowing Vlahović to enter his final year of contract next summer, when his valuation will be much lower than what it is now.

On Vlahović’s case, Bucchioni ends his column by stating: ‘As Rocco himself said, it is difficult to write the ending. For now, no one knows it.’

Guardiola ‘wants Vlahović’, who has a ‘firm will’ to leave Fiorentina. The frontman’s agent is in talks with City, and if these two parties can convince Commisso, the Serbian could make a switch to the Etihad.
