Last week, a couple of articles started circulating that Manchester City and Pep Guardiola had highlighted Nolito as one of their potential signings for the coming season, and it now appears to be happening.
According to TV3 in Spain, a Catalan TV station, the player has now grown tired of waiting for Barcelona, who were also interested, and decided to move to England instead.
The Celta Vigo man, who has started both games for his country so far during the Euros, has decided to accept the Manchester City offer, which is reported to be a three-year contract with an option to extend for a fourth if both parties wish to do so.
The transfer fee is said to be around €20m (£15.4m), and the move, if it does happen, will come as a blow for Barcelona, who had been trailing the player for quite some time as a backup option for their talented trio up front.
