Wolves are back in the Brazilian headlines as the Jhon Arias story refuses to slow down. This time, another reliable source added another concrete twist

According to Brazilian outlet UOL, Palmeiras have received a green light from the player. Even so, the road out of England still looks complicated.

Player gives positive signals to Brazil

The report says talks between Palmeiras and Arias’ representatives went well. The Colombian is said to be open to a return to Brazilian football.

A move in this window would not be an issue for him. Arias reportedly admires the work done at Palmeiras’ training centre and likes the idea of joining a competitive project.

Wolves’ situation features heavily in the story, and UOL describe this scenario as part of the background pushing the conversation forward.

At 28, Arias also has personal targets in mind. He wants to recover the level he showed at Fluminense. He also wants to arrive at the World Cup in strong condition. Brazilian football appears again as a familiar stage for that plan.

Money and clauses keep Wolves deal complex

From Wolves’ side, the financial picture remains key. UOL say the club want to recover around €20m, linked to targets that have not yet been met. Palmeiras believe they can operate at that level. They point to recent investments of similar size to support that view.

There is, however, an extra hurdle. As we have covered, Fluminense included a clause in the original sale. It gives them priority to match any offer if Arias returns to Brazil. That means Palmeiras would need to satisfy Wolves and overcome built-in competition.

Local journalist Victor Lessa said nothing has officially reached Fluminense yet. However, the player’s representatives have already talked to the club to reassure the agreement will be respected.

For now, the saga gains another chapter. Arias reportedly opened the door. Palmeiras see a possible route. Still, clauses, competition and Wolves’ demands ensure the story keeps rolling.
