Speaking to RTVE (via AS), the player claimed he’s feeling good at the Spanish side and therefore a summer exit isn’t on his agenda.
Griezmann has recently been heavily linked to a move to Manchester United, and manager José Mourinho was said to have the Frenchman as the number one of his summer list.
The player has been living a fantastic season in Spain, scoring 20 goals and making 10 assists so far. But Atletico Madrid haven’t been able to repeat the past good years in La Liga, and are currently in fourth place on the table.
In the Champions League, however, they’re in a comfortable position after a 4-2 away win against Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of the Round-Of-16.
Antoine Griezmann’s last contract with Atletico Madrid was signed last summer, and will run until 2021.
Footballers often commit themselves verbally to a club, only to leave a few months later and a lot will depend on what happens between now and the end of the season. Manchester United would likely need Champions League football to tempt Griezmann, and Atletico themselves aren’t assured of getting a place in Europe’s premier competition.
