FosOnline claim Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Olympiakos attacker Daniel Podence ahead of the next transfer window.
After an impressive first season back in the Premier League, Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking for reinforcements this summer, and the 23-year-old looks to be an option for the English club.
The website state Wolves were interested in signing Podence last season, but Mendes, having already sent Rui Patricio to Molineux from Sporting, preferred to see his client go to Olympiakos with a view to then transfer him to a better club either this summer or the next.
A number of Portuguese players have arrived at Molineux due to Mendes and Podence could be the next one to be added to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, although FosOnline believe the decision would be ‘100% Mendes’.
After joining from Sporting on a free transfer last summer, Podence has been in good form for the Greek club, scoring 8 goals and assisting nine times in 41 appearances this season.
Podence is under contract with Olympiacos until June 2021 but could leave after just a season in Greece.
