Serhou Guirassy and his agents have informed VfB Stuttgart that the player is set to use his exit clause this summer and leave the Bundesliga club, report Bild.
The 28-year-old scored 30 goals in 30 matches last season, and has been attracting interest from around Europe. That he has a good value release clause makes a transfer easier and that’s seen the situation multiplied.
Bild report Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on the player. They believe BVB are in pole position as it stands.
Over at Sky Deutschland they say Chelsea are now out of the picture, which would obviously make things easier for Arsenal and the other clubs.
They put the release clause at around €20m, and say Guirassy is set to decide between Arsenal, BVB and Milan.
The Gunners obviously have some strong arguments on their side and should be able to beat the other clubs when it comes to salary. What they may not be able to offer is assurances over a leading role within the project.
