Nemanja Matic is reportedly evaluating his options to leave Chelsea. The midfielder, who’s not sure if he will be an important player for Antonio Conte, is aware that other sides have a wish to buy him.
According to Tuttosport, Matic’s entourage had a meeting with the Chelsea sporting director Michael Emenalo and Roman Abramovich’s right hand woman Marina Granovskaia On Tuesday.
The player has been told that Conte wants to use him alongside N’Golo Kante in a 4-2-3-1 system. But he’s still not convinced, and he wants a bigger assurance from the Italian manager.
Juventus are said to be pressing and that’s what is making the midfielder think about leaving. They would give him a reasonable salary and a guaranteed spot in the team so he could replace Paul Pogba.
The Italian side won’t try for the signing until they are given green light from Chelsea, since they don’t want to get on bad terms with the London club. But despite Matic being their number one target for the position, they still have Blaise Matuidi in their list. And as the window is shutting in a few weeks, they won’t wait long.
