There’s been regular contact between Ajax and the Denmark international’s camp in recent times. The 32-year-old would have to take a ‘significant’ pay cut to return to his former club.
Erik ten Hag’s side are demanding a fee to sanction a sale, and this makes it complicated for Ajax. They seem to be hoping for Manchester United to terminate his contract.
Mason Mount will be out of action for several weeks due to an injury. The report suggests this could also make it difficult for Ajax to sign Eriksen today.
