The Dutch media is sounding quite excited about the future of Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville.
Outlet FC Update today shares some quotes from Süleyman Öztürk, who spoke to Voetbal International about the forward.
According to the pundit, the Leeds player should soon be ready for a big move, given the good form he’s been showing with the Whites.
“He is one of the best strikers in the Championship, from next season we will see him at a top club. He is going to make a transfer, there is no other way” said Öztürk.
“I would like to see him at a higher level. He has developed fantastically over the past six months. He is fast and good on the outside, but also as a number ten. I think he should cost around €40m.”
FC Update recalls that Feyenooord had been interested in bringing Summerville back to the club last summer, but that now became an ‘unrealistic’ option, with Öztürk pointing out he should now be too expensive for them.
“He has become truly priceless for a club like Feyenoord, one of the best players in the Championship.”
It was in the summer of 2020 that Leeds paid just €1.5m to sign Summerville from Feyenoord.
The winger initially arrived at their academy, and made his way to the Whites’ first team, now having 16 goals and nine assists in 38 appearances this season.
He’s tied to the Elland Road side with a contract until 2026, and currently valued by Transfermarkt at €18m, so it seems his future will just depend on the big offers that will arrive at the club this summer.
