Randal Kolo Muani was not supposed to be one of the players involved in Tottenham Hotspur drama at the end of the window. The 27-year-old only arrived from PSG in the summer, on a season long loan.
Juventus had the Frenchman last season and had tried for much of the summer to get him back. Negotiations with PSG dragged out, with each club becoming distrustful and somewhat fed up of the other. PSG believed Juventus should commit to buying the player, however, the Serie A club were holding out for another loan.
Right at the end of the window, Tottenham took advantage of that impasse and secured a loan deal themselves. Kolo Muani has since played around 1300 minutes for Spurs, scoring two goals and adding three assists.
In recent days, a return to Juventus has emerged as a serious possibility. There’s clearly still a desire from both parties to be reunited and the Turin club are exploring the possibilities.
Giorgio Chiellini on Randal Kolo Muani

Juventus are away to AS Monaco this evening in the Champions League. Prior to kick-off, the club’s Director of Football Strategies Giorgio Chiellini was asked about Kolo Muani.
TMW quote Chiellini as replying: “Tottenham are playing tonight, so there’s no point in talking about it. Kolo has done well here, but he’s not a Juventus player. We all want to improve the team; we’ll see in the next two or three days.”
That would give at least a hint that the reports are based on something.
Randal Kolo Muani is currently on the pitch for Tottenham against Eintracht Frankfurt, another of his former clubs.
